Why are governments so divided about what to do about the debt crisis?
Governments, as represented by politicians, know very little about anything, other than how to be a politician. Thus they rely on ‘experts’ for advice. Depending on the country you live in these experts may be the ‘good old boy’ you went to school with, may be a civil servant supposedly trained in the particular area under discussion, may be an academic from that discipline, may be the chap you met by chance during a wait in an airport lounge who seems to know a lot, or it might be Mystic Meg. It may even be a collection of some or all of these.
Anyway, the chances of finding anyone who truly knows what the real problem and the real cure are is pretty remote, especially since the ones most qualified are the ones who predicted the problem in the first place but are also the ones who have been saying ‘you’re all stupid and riding to destruction’ which means that no politician dare acknowledge even their existence, let alone take their advice lest they give currency to the line that they are themselves incompetent.
Put simply, no one, at least no one with the government’s ear, really knows what to do or how effective any particular course will be so in this particular crisis they have papered over the cracks with bail outs and stimulus packages in the vain hope that it will all sort itself out, preferably when they are out of the firing line.

What is the government doing to help or improve the financial crisis?
I have to write a dialogue about a patriot and a loyalist having an argument and I have to base it on a current crisis or tragedy. So I picked the current financial crisis. Please tell me what the government is doing to help the financial crisis. Also write your opinions because that might help.
The Growing Government is Destroying America. The 10th Amendment will be the focal point of our country in a short time. This Amendment declares what powers the Federal government has and those not declared fall back to the states and/or the people. With Obama’s forced, mob style coercion tactics that he is trying to push on the states and the people – it just isn’t going to work. The taxpayers are too smart – the people of this country who really matter – the taxpayers – will not allow Obama to run wild over this country and destroy 200+ years of American history in the progress. o_O
